Statewide races

Election Day in Alabama is Nov. 3, 2026. Voters will elect one U.S. senator to a six-year term, choose a governor and fill three other statewide executive offices.

NBC News lists Democrat Everett Wess and Republican Barry Moore in the U.S. Senate race. Its governor listing includes Democrat Doug Jones and Republican Tommy Tuberville.

For secretary of state, the listing names Democrat Wayne Rogers and Republican Caroleene Dobson. The lieutenant governor candidates listed are Democrat Phillip Ensler and Republican John Wahl. In the attorney general race, it lists Democrat Jeff McLaughlin and Republican Katherine Robertson.

Congressional seats and current offices

All seven of Alabama’s U.S. House districts are scheduled to hold elections in 2026. The current representatives are Barry Moore in District 1, Shomari Figures in District 2, Mike Rogers in District 3, Robert Aderholt in District 4, Dale Strong in District 5, Gary Palmer in District 6 and Terri Sewell in District 7.

Alabama’s current U.S. senators are Tommy Tuberville and Katie Britt. The current statewide officeholders include Gov. Kay Ivey, Lt. Gov. Will Ainsworth, Secretary of State Wes Allen and Attorney General Steve Marshall.

Recent presidential voting

Republican presidential candidates carried Alabama in each of the past three elections. Donald Trump received 64.6% of the state’s vote in 2024, compared with 34.1% for the Democratic candidate. The Republican share was 62% in 2020 and 62.7% in 2016, while the Democratic share was 36.6% and 34.7%, respectively.

Trump’s 2024 margin in Alabama was 30.5 percentage points. The state had nine electoral votes in that election.
