Policy positions and campaign money
Tomkins has no documented position on any policy issue on file. The same is true for every other candidate in the UT-1 contest. A candidate’s party affiliation identifies the label under which that person is running, but it does not establish an individual position on a specific issue.
Campaign finance figures also are not on file for Tomkins or any of the other 14 candidates. That includes total funds raised, total funds spent and cash on hand. Those categories can show how much money a campaign has collected, used and retained, but no comparisons can be made among this field without reported figures.
What voters can track
The next major date listed for the race is the Nov. 3, 2026, general election. Before voting, voters can watch for candidate biographies, issue positions and campaign finance totals to become part of the public record.
Those records would allow voters to compare the candidates’ experience, priorities and campaign activity. Until then, the documented distinctions among the candidates are their names and listed political affiliations.
