The former White House press secretary will provide political commentary and analysis across Fox News Media platforms beginning Nov. 1.

Key takeaways
Fox News announced Monday that Karoline Leavitt, President Donald Trump’s former White House press secretary, will join the network as an on-air contributor. Her role begins Nov. 1 and will include commentary and analysis across Fox News Media platforms, NBC News reported.
Fox News Media CEO Suzanne Scott said Leavitt’s experience in the White House and on Trump’s presidential campaign would inform her political analysis. Leavitt, 29, served as the administration’s chief spokesperson from the beginning of Trump’s second term until the end of August. She was the youngest person to hold the White House press secretary position.
Leavitt left the administration after giving birth to her second child in May. In an Aug. 12 Truth Social post, Trump said she was departing to spend more time with her children and family. He also said she would remain one of his outside advisers and have a role in Republican efforts surrounding the midterm elections.
Before working in the White House, Leavitt was the national press secretary for Trump’s 2024 presidential campaign. She also ran for the U.S. House in New Hampshire in 2022, losing to Democratic Rep. Chris Pappas.
The contributor position moves Leavitt from speaking officially for a presidential administration to offering analysis for a news organization. Fox said her work will appear across its media platforms, rather than being limited to a single program.
