The former White House press secretary will begin offering commentary across Fox News programs on Nov. 1.

Key takeaways
Karoline Leavitt will join Fox News as a contributor on Nov. 1, the network announced Oct. 5. Fox News said the former White House press secretary will offer commentary across its programs.
Leavitt said she plans to bring insights from her time as press secretary to the network’s television and digital audiences. Fox News Media CEO Suzanne Scott said Leavitt’s work in the White House and on a presidential campaign gave her direct experience with national politics.
The announcement establishes Leavitt’s next public role after she left the Trump administration at the end of August. It does not connect her new position to a campaign or election.
Leavitt, 29, served as White House press secretary from the first day of President Donald Trump’s second administration. Before joining the administration, she worked on Trump’s presidential campaign.
When she stepped down, Leavitt said the birth of her daughter, her second child, led her to leave the demanding White House position and spend more time with her children. Trump had not announced a replacement at the time Fox News disclosed her new role.
Several former White House press secretaries have moved into television work. Jen Psaki, who served under President Joe Biden, hosts a program on MS NOW. Former Trump press secretary Kayleigh McEnany became a Fox News co-host, while Dana Perino, who held the job under President George W. Bush, works at Fox News as a commentator and host. Tony Snow moved in the other direction, leaving his role as host of “Fox News Sunday” to become Bush’s press secretary in 2006.
