Kentucky’s 2026 election includes Senate and six House races

Federal races on the ballot

Kentucky voters will elect one of the state’s two U.S. senators on Nov. 3, 2026. The winner will serve a six-year term.

NBC News lists Democrat Charles Booker and Republican Andy Barr as the candidates in the Senate contest. No candidate policy positions are included on the election page.

All six of Kentucky’s U.S. House districts are also scheduled to hold elections. House members serve two-year terms, so every district returns to the ballot in each even-numbered election year.

Kentucky’s current federal representation

Kentucky’s sitting U.S. senators are Republicans Mitch McConnell and Rand Paul. The state’s House delegation includes Republicans James Comer in District 1, Brett Guthrie in District 2, Thomas Massie in District 4, Hal Rogers in District 5 and Andy Barr in District 6. Democrat Morgan McGarvey represents District 3.

The Senate contest and the six House races are separate elections. A voter’s House choice depends on the congressional district where that voter lives, while the Senate race appears statewide.

Recent presidential voting

Kentucky supported Donald Trump in each of the past three presidential elections. Republican presidential candidates received 62.5% of the state vote in 2016, 62.1% in 2020 and 64.5% in 2024.

Democratic presidential candidates received 32.7% in 2016, 36.2% in 2020 and 33.9% in 2024. In 2024, Trump carried Kentucky by 30.5 percentage points and received the state’s eight electoral votes.
