Minaj calls for midterm participation
Nicki Minaj urged young Americans to participate in the Nov.
The rapper told younger voters that their voices matter and that decisions made in elections will affect their future. She also encouraged them to become active in their communities and vote in contests beyond presidential elections, including local races.
Minaj then made her preferred outcome explicit, asking young voters to “vote red,” a reference to supporting Republicans. Her remarks were reported by Fox News.
The appeal was not tied to a particular candidate or race. Midterm voters will choose officeholders in congressional, state and local contests, depending on where they live.
Why Minaj says she supports Trump
The performer said she had made it her mission to support Trump and would not avoid defending him. Trump has called Minaj a “fantastic person.”
Her political involvement has also included work with the Trump administration. Minaj served as a celebrity judge for the Small Business Administration’s Million Dollar Pitch Competition and appeared at a January 2026 event promoting Trump Accounts in Washington.
