Wiles opened her message by saying she had personal news she was grateful to share. She then reported the pathology outcome and declared herself cancer free, making the announcement her latest public update since revealing the diagnosis six months ago.

Her thanks and White House work

Wiles thanked her family, friends and doctors, as well as people who prayed for her and supported her during treatment. She gave special thanks to President Donald Trump for what she described as his steady support.

Wiles also said she would continue working to advance Trump’s America First agenda in her role as White House chief of staff. Her message focused on the medical result, the support she received during treatment and her intention to continue her White House work.

Trump’s earlier comments

Before Wiles announced the clear results, Trump had addressed her cancer diagnosis in a video message presented at a gala. He praised Wiles and said the early diagnosis meant she was prevailing in the cancer fight and would be in good shape.

Wiles’s Wednesday message followed those comments with the result from her Mayo Clinic appointment. She credited relatives, friends, doctors, the president and others who supported her during the six months since she disclosed her diagnosis.
