Tech leaders attend Trump-Xi White House dinner

President Trump hosted Chinese President Xi Jinping for a state dinner at the White House on Thursday. Attendees included Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg, OpenAI co-founder Sam Altman and Elon Musk, the chief executive of Tesla and SpaceX. Amazon founder Jeff was also among the guests.

The technology leaders attended in black tuxedos. Their presence brought executives and founders connected to social media, artificial intelligence, electric vehicles, spaceflight and online retail to the same White House event as the U.S. and Chinese presidents.

Zuckerberg leads Meta, while Altman co-founded OpenAI. Musk leads both Tesla and SpaceX. The attendance of Amazon’s founder added another major technology and business company to the dinner’s guest list.

Trump served as host, and Xi attended as China’s president. The gathering was a state dinner at the White House, not a campaign event, and no candidate or electoral contest was directly connected to it.
