What Oklahoma voters will decide in the 2026 election

Offices and candidates

Oklahoma voters will elect one U.S. senator to a six-year term on Nov. 3, while all five of the state’s U.S. House districts are also up for election. The listed Senate candidates are Democrat N’Kiyla Thomas and Republican Kevin Hern.

The governor’s contest includes Democrat Cyndi Munson and Republican Mike Mazzei. The lieutenant governor’s contest includes Democrat Kelly Forbes and Republican T. Shannon. The attorney general’s contest includes Democrat Nick Coffey and Republican Jon Echols.

Candidate names for the five U.S. House contests are not listed on the election overview. NBC News Decision Desk labels the Senate and governor’s contests “Solid GOP,” a race rating rather than an election result.

Current officeholders

Oklahoma’s listed U.S. senators are Republicans James Lankford and Alan Armstrong. The current statewide officeholders listed are Gov. Kevin Stitt, Lt. Gov. Matt Pinnell, Secretary of State Benjamin M. Lepak and Attorney General Gentner Drummond, all Republicans.

The state’s five listed U.S. House members are Republicans Kevin Hern in District 1, Josh Brecheen in District 2, Frank Lucas in District 3, Tom Cole in District 4 and Stephanie Bice in District 5.

Recent presidential voting

Republican presidential candidates received 65.3% of Oklahoma’s vote in 2016, 65.4% in 2020 and 66.2% in 2024. Democratic candidates received 28.9% in 2016, 32.3% in 2020 and 31.9% in 2024.

Donald Trump carried Oklahoma by 34.3 percentage points in 2024 and received the state’s seven electoral votes. That was his fifth-largest margin among the 50 states.
