South Carolina’s presidential voting history

In the 2024 presidential election, the Republican candidate received 58.2% of South Carolina’s vote, while the Democratic candidate received 40.4%. Donald Trump carried the state by 17.9 percentage points.

The state also voted Republican in the two preceding presidential elections. In 2020, the Republican share was 55.1% and the Democratic share was 43.4%. In 2016, Republicans received 54.9% and Democrats received 40.7%.
